Happy Halloween, everyone!

Got 146/160 on Econ 110 midterm. 81/100 (I think) on the econ 121 midterm.

Japanese oral presentation tomorrow, have to go memorize the skit soon.

Want to draw cute Halloween piccies! >XD! But i can't...-_-; Feeling kind of tired but at least I'm clean. And smell like oranges. Yum. Getting kind of hungry again too...Have lots of scratch paper now that I've visited the computing center. Should probably also do other homework, and write.

Lately, I've been working on Yayoi's immortals' story...was supposed to be a short waffy one shot, well heck it's 10 pages and still going.o_0; One shot it might be but it's certainly not SHORT anymore...

What else?? Yanagi's on her cruise now, I think...tis Halloween today and I don't have a costume...-_-; Though if luck is with me I won't have TOO much candy to ingest and get fat on..

Midway to the end...

Midterm finished.@_@. Don't know how I did on it, though the first question was on the Stackleburg leader game (a spin-off/variation of the Cournot game) and my OTHER econ teacher covered that this tuesday in lecture. >XD. Ha, I was happy because I knew how to DO it, yeah! I SHOULD, after getting three classes hammering Cournot and Stackleburg in my head...The other two questions were more iffy...but oh, well.^_^ I'm just glad it's over with.

And now the presentation this afternoon is the only major thing left for today. Tomorrow is the japanese written quiz (a test, basically), and I need to study for that as soon as I'm done with other stuff...@_@

Good news...I CAN take Handball and self-defense...the max for PE classes is 2 per semester, it's just that I can't sign up for more than one during the first round of registrations. ^_^ Me happy! I need more exercise, that's for sure...@_@

Now that the pressure is easing off for a bit my muse is being louder than usual. I'm ignoring her for now, she was the one that caused me to not study at all last night.-_-; Or was that just myself? Someday I might write up how things work in my head. Mainly, my muse lounging around in my brainspace if she's not locked up in the closet, bugging characters when/if she has a story. And if they agree, I end up getting called over to do everything.-_-;

I want to color something, really, really badly...-_-; But no piccies to color, none good enough to ink. Eventually I will get my act together...yeah, right.-_-;

Thinking about website now...^_^. Will probably start the heavy-duty work (ie final organization, uploading, making the pages, etc) after Friday. The angelfire Miscellaneous site might be converted to an update/newest-uploads site, since it is so much easier to upload stuff from there, especially if I'm posting from an outside computer with no FTP program...

Going to go now. Typing up more stuff for my presentation on mental illnesses. VERY interesting stuff, despite the fact that my muse wouldn't stop trying to diagnose my OCs with various mental illnesses...-_-;

Today is Wednesday, huh? Well, tomorrow and Friday will be terrible, but once past that I'll be mostly home free (there is that midterm for IDS on monday, but it's going to be easy so I'm not worried about it^_^;). After that the concentration will move from exams to papers...I wonder how that will go?

Feeling a bit tired, but calm. I got most of the classes I wanted, had registration this morning. Signed up for a self-defense class...still trying to decide if I want to give up Handball. I probably won't, but to tell the truth I've taken that class for almost two years...might as well move onto something else for a bit. I can always join the handball team and go to practice during their practices...Who knows, we'll see.^_^

Still no news on the previous midterm...with a midterm and presentation pending I guess I really shouldn't worry about it. Problem is I don't think I'm worrying enough about this coming midterm...the one on Game Theory.^_^ Fun stuff, but confusing sometimes, and easy to make mistakes in...@_@. *Crosses fingers* I will do well!

Nothing else up. Plans aglore for the weekend, including getting some good food, anime and presents for friends, and much needed, unstressed sleep. Gen and Zane are being noisy in my head, and so is Kenken, since we're starting to see a bit of light at the end of the tunnel of angst we've stuffed him in...I really want to draw and color something this weekend...I haven't colored in SO long, I miss it terribly...;_; Maybe that mermaid picture, if it won't utterly destroy the blues I have left...

I want to WRITE! and DRAW! and WORK ON MY PAGE!>_< No such luck. Homework and class awaits, then it is time for midterms. Bah, humbug.

I have a stomachache. Owie. I am sleepy and tired and cold. Bah. But now I am in the nice computer lab to do blogging stuff...

Starting to make the archives thing...or at least planning it. Last rough estimate/count from my computer states that I have approximately 320 something odd images. Once I comb through and eliminate doubles/duplicates I should have less...@_@. Organization, however, will take a while...Ficage might go faster except I might very well have to re-HTML the chapters...@_@. Iyaa...

And then I have to upload everything. Oiya oiya....it'll prove to be quite a job.

Midterm this thursday, so no way I can do it this week...@_@.

What else? Really itching to play FF10 or FF8 again...;_; I miss the playstation...

Um.....worrying about homework but the midterm panic hasn't set in yet. Probably will do so soon though, I don't look forward to it. Contemplating entering the National Novel Writing Month event, 50,000 words would be hard but it'd be a kick in the butt in the right direction...And I might be less busy come November. Quiet after the storm...

Well, congratulations me. I have finished my econ 121 midterm without spontaneously combusting during the test. It was surprisingly pleasent, as much as a midterm COULD be pleasent without getting the answers beforehand, anyway. We didn't have to take the test in the usual lecture hall. Instead, one of the buildings that had been closed for about 2 years for seismic renovation (meaning that it's fenced off and there are trucks, construction workers, dust, etc everywhich where for the duration of the years...) is now open. It is a GORGOUS building...so clean and elegant and classical looking. Inside is just beautiful, with all sorts of fun arches and domed ceilings and whatnot. Almost makes me want to take an architecture class to figure out how to describe it properly^_^. In fact, the place, and the midterm, went a lot better than my morning, which was just not spiffy at all. So now I'm pretty much evened out for the day, and the rest will fall into place calmly, I hope.

I'm thinking to go take a nap now, but am not sure if I really want to because I have one more class before my day is over. THere is a japanese kanji quiz tomorrow that I have to study for, and today's quiz I didn't study enough for...@_@. Oh, well. And next week's lineup includes paper topic, or the precis due for econ 121, more quizzes and tests, and the econ 110 midterm.

Oh! And I got into the Economics Major!^_^ So mayhaps I'll be a starving economist instead of a starving artist....

After that things will quiet down until finals time. Yay, I do NOT look forward to finals...-_-;

Every once in a while...

Every once in a while don't you just feel like waxing poetic? Maybe it doesn't have to be when you're happy, or when you're sad or feeling anything in particular, but you just want to say something with a bit more meaning than the usual nonsense babble of the everyday. Let me say up front that all of you reading this should be VERY happy that I got the urge out of my system about two nights ago, by writing a severely strange(well, maybe not) and rather angst ridden short fragment in my other blog, so I won't be getting TOO deeply introspective and verbose on ya all...

See, i found the livejournal of a friend of mine a few days ago, and was deeply impressed by her posts.^_^; Because I know that I'm NOT someone who writes like that...*sigh* Sometimes I read back and I wonder at how trivial everything sounds. Granted, I did not start this blog to pour out my heart and soul (and as Zach would put it, deep dark, dirty secrets), so maybe it has to be a bit trivial.^_^; But it sure doesn't do anything for my poor writing style. *sigh*

Onto other news...Someone (my esteemed mother^_^) pointed out my rather strong tendency to distance myself from reality.^_^ So I'm trying to get 'closer' so to speak...spend more time finding out what's happening out there rather than contently doing things in my own head. And of course I knew the world wasn't always a nice place...but today I found out something fun. See, every year (at least the three years I've been here on campus) there's a time of the year when the grass knolls on the south-east side of campus, near College Avenue and the fountain, would suddenly sprout swan/duck/geese looking things. No, not REAL live ones, but it always looked like an art project of some sort.^_^ Bird-like forms from every possible material, I saw some made from the disposible silverwear, feathers, foils, paper, cardboard, campus maps, cups, pins, paper clips, etc. It was always really interesting to see. This year I was tempted to take a picture but picked up a flier instead. Turns out that (whether it was intentional or just a benign coincidence...probably intentional^_^) the birds depicted are the Black-Faced Spoonbill (Platalea Minor) --I'm reading this off a phamphlet here so don't think I'm a biologist or something^_^. It's to promote the preservation of their natural habitat, which is in southern Taiwan, where i'm from. Hm, talk about learning interesting new things.^_^

And weather here has been really hot as of the past few days.^_^; I need to do laundry so that I have short sleeved shirts to wear...all the clothes I have left are the heavy winter clothes. Yesterday I was dead most of the day because of the heat, and only revived once it was around 11pm, and everything was relatively cooler. My muse then proceeded to bombard me with random whims, which resulted in the neglect of my homework.^_^; Fortunately the night wasn't a COMPLETE waste...well, it was in regards to school, except maybe japanese....But I got a picture done and uploaded, but I'm too lazy to dig up the link now.^_^ Will link later.

Other, other news...I might be moving to ainself.net, the site that Ryo-san, Elf-san, Imbrii-san, Irony-san, Kelly-san and Steph-san all currently share. The price is really great, and I'll get 100mbs, which should be enough for awhile.^_^ We'll see.

Ok, it's Saturday...Not much to show for it, as usual. Went to 99 ranch market again today. Brother paid for lunch and for the stuff we bought, tho admittedly we didn't buy a lot of things...Tired and sleepy now....it's actually 10 minutes to Sunday^_^;

Wednesday...?

Majo's obliviousness strikes again.^_^; yesterday I put all the wrong dates on my notes, thinking yesterday was today. And today I got up late and almost missed japanese class. Baka.-_-; So much work, so little time, as usual. Long day today, starting in about half an hour. Got lots of food though, so hopefully my stomach won't bug me until later. I think I'm sick though, so very tired, nose is running like crazy, sneezing every other minute...@_@. Ick.

Nothing new artwise...did a one page silent comic for the decal last night, even inked it and everything...Might post it if the fancy strikes me, but now I just want to sleep...@_@. Tired...I can already tell how very unenthusiastic I'll be at PE today...

Econ 121 hw due next week, not to mention the two econ midterms, the term paper precis (or however it's spelled, etc)...@_@ And just yesterday I thought I was keeping up^_^. Well, I'm not behind yet! *determined*...tho I think I'm really sleepy...And it's so cold in here...@@ *in computer lab right now*.

We got semi-bad news yesterday. Our dorm's main lounge is going to be converted into the computing center, which means we won't have a main lounge...but at least the computers'll be here. Some REALLY immature people though, i think, at the meeting for the hall last night. Geez, we're college students...you'd think we'd be able to quiet down when someone's about to make an announcement...On top of that, the construction's gonna be going on even more now, with the plan of demolishing the central building once the new cafeteria is built. So all the stuff there like mailboxes, study lounges, computing centers, music rooms, etc, will have to be moved or scrapped. No rest for the weary, eh? I think I understand why sometimes it takes so long to get stuff done...@_@ Everyone probably complained about what a big PITA it would be.

Other than that and the lack of sleep (I stayed up to read some of my old, handwritten fics) I think life is going okay. I want sleep, dammit...@_@.

1. Have you created any Original Characters?
Yes. I tried to not do it, really...

2. That weren't intended for a fanfic?
Yes. It used to be that OCs for fics outnumber the OCs for my own original stuff...but now....

3. How many characters do you have?
A handful...a lot or a little depends on what you're comparing the number against, and if you're counting co-owned original characters.

4. Any favorites?
Currently Zach and Kenken are at the top of the list for the guys, Ashura and Frances for the gals. Malaren, Sarah and Angel used to be favorites too....

5. Any that you can relate to?
Since I created most of them, all of them have a bit of me in them. So I can related to Zach's sweet tooth, his laziness and fondness for sleep, Frances's occasional bouts of apathy and desire to be antisocial, and Kenken's myriad of insecurities, etc.^_^

6. Any that you would like to *be*?
Not that I can think off at the top of my head....Most of my characters come with a fair amount of baggage that usually averages to be worse than my current lot in life^_^;

7. Do you remember what the first fictional character you ever created was?
That would probably be Malaren, or maybe Thyn or Sarah. First real male character is Zach, though character design fluctuated insanely...

8. Nicest of your original characters?
A toss-up between Zach and Kenken, my girls tend to be rather strong-willed/fiery. On second thought, probably Kenken.

9. Evillest character?
Probably Hydra or Kain...One is intent on becoming the ruler of all things and universes, even if she has to destroy everything for it, and the second is a sadistic, twisted man who wanted to become the next god of Destruction...^_^;

10. Weirdest character?
Kenken currently, maybe Atari from wayyyyy back.^^; Kenken is a mathematician turned Knight-priest with many many insecurities, self-esteem issues, and wacky travel companions. Atari is a shapeshifter who's entirely too cute and too ditzy for the job of right-hand hench(wo)men to Hydra...Come to think of it, Hikari was pretty weird too...

11. Most annoying?
Melena from Inversed, crazy dragon ladies are annoying (Filia: hey!). For real OCs...hmm, well, I suppose Jenna is annoying..^^;

12. Sexiest character?
..o_0; Well, Malaren was sexy in that dark and dangerous way. Fran too...Zach would take first prize for a sexy guy, tho he wouldn't know he's sexy even if the fact came up to him and hit him over the head...

13. Strangest backstory?
Kenken, hands down.

14. Biggest plot twist attached?
I'll get back to this one after I actually WRITE some of these down....

15. Do you prefer to make up villains or heros?
I prefer to make up anti-heros and anti-villains.

16. Speaking of which, do you have a favorite hero from your original characters?
Zach maybe. Kenken is a hero though he's not a very good one.^^;

17. Favorite villain?
Hydra and Malaren comes to mind. As does that person who Sarah was backtalking in Hell...never DID name him...

18. Do you ever associate songs with any of your characters?
Always and forever.^_^ Too many to list.

19. Any character that you'd like to write a whole story about?
I am sort of writing about all of them, but none in particular at the time. I think Ashura would be fun to write for though.

20. And finally, has anyone else created an original character that you really, really like?
Jen's Bobby comes to mind, as does Yayoi's Thanatos. I'm fond of the entire cast of Kenken's story, and that includes Mimi and Hank and Olaf.^_^

Yet another tuesday

*blinkblink* It's tuesday already?^_^ Wow...Heh, well, I suppose I lost track of time because I had a decent Monday, for a change. All seems to be going moderately well, although I'm tired. Can't tell if that was because of the tea I drank at dinner, or because of the stupid construction people starting to set up at around 5am...Wait, I think I woke up around 2am...@_@.

School is going good. Actually DID homework on time...but that means less time to draw. Still in the process of CGing the pic for dray, progress is slllloooooowwwwww because I can't ever find nice and large chunks of time to sit down and color. Had midterm this monday that was really easy...hw due today ALL done before today^^; That's a new record for me, in case anyone wants to know...

Oh, that's right...found Original Characters survey on Jen-sama's LJ...I took it too, but posted it on the wrong blog...will remedy that now.
