Joy, computer gone-ness...

I am here because mel was sweet enough to offer to let me borrow her laptop (despite my protests that it might get shot up in a battle with the yakuza...she intelligently argued that there weren't any yakuza here, in our particular brand of nowhere). Best Buy continues to piss me off, because I couldn't get a hold of them for hours until just now, and they said that the junk out order would probably go through tomorrow, and they'd give me a call when that happens. Too bad I'll probably be at work tomorrow. *sigh* Note to self: call Best Buy and ask about order, again.

Had to call the corporate office because no one at the store knows whether or not I can use the computer credit with the junk out with bestbuy.com computers (since they have more selection), and finally it was decided that no, not really, unless I can get a manager to put in a customer fulfillment order or something. I'm wondering if I even want to bother with that, but I suppose I should in order to get that laptop. All the ones online seem cooler than the ones at the store, at least the last time I looked. It's just that the managers so far have all seem to be "eh, it's you. Here's a phone number, go help yourself, we don't have time for you."

Oh, well, no point in worrying about it, I suppose. I'll just try to bear with cramps and cold and stuff like that. Looked like work was insane today (i checked email, against my better judgement), so it'll be busy tomorrow, to be sure...

Hiya! Looks like someone spammed your comments with an ad >.<

Anyway, Best Buy, the beastards, fired me. But I can still tell you that almost any salesperson on the floor should be able to do a customer fulfillment for any computer you see on BestBuy.com depending on what's in stock, etc. And the credit can technically be used for anything. They will TRY to give you a laptop with similar features that costs less. That way they can mark the cheaper laptop up to the price of the old when doing the exchange and make money. However, the entire amount of the orioginal sale price will be in there and you could use the whole thing in credit towards whatever new laptop you want. This will depend on who you talk to, as I've seen some managers offer only a portion of the money towards the new laptop since that portion is the cost of an 'equivalent' one. Keep at em. Let me know if you have any questions and I can try to help you take em for all they're worth! You've had nothing but nightmares with that laptop and you deserve to get something good out of it.
