To reinstate...
Textbooks are very, very expensive.

End of that rant, anyway..no point in beating it to death. And in other news, was exceptionally(?) productive yesterday in coloring-art wise...finished two pics, one which had taken the better part of the past one or two weeks...I can't remember. And one which was simple but turned out better than expected.

I would say hop on over to DA to see them, but they're having problems yet again. I suggest Witchspring if you want to see...and please leave a comment!

Class in 11 minutes, though given the 10 minutes past the hour thing we have, it's more like, 21 minutes. And it's just upstairs, so I don't feel my behind moving from this comfy computer chair anytime soon...@_@

School is bad for my sleep schedule.^^; But at least, I'm keeping up with homework, so far. I don't think I'll get into some of the business classes though...which sucks, because the fun one is the one that has the long waitlist. Though of course, both my Corporate finance and Financial econ classes immediately start with the present value problem, which has been beaten into my head, repeatedly. Enough already!^^;

Yeah. Er, 19 more minutes, or something. Why am I doing a countdown? Other than that, I just spent $140 on a textbook (related to the subject above) ...But I'm going to return it (Because Ialready ordered it online, it's just not here yet) before the cut-off date...There are a lot of things that really should be cheaper, but being an econ major also means I have to consider the reasons why they're so expensive...@_@ UGh, don't wanna think about that.

Why can't I just be a starving artist? Oh, right.-_- Cuz I'm a glutton and wouldn't handle starvation well... I hope DA gets fixed.

I hesitate to ask this, since I know I'll get a very limited amount of replies...but anyway, if you're reading this (Yayoi, you don't really count.^^; ), post a comment? Just a hi would do, even. I just want to see if anyone's actually reading my bloggie...

Ok, I go now. Boring math class beckons...what are the chances of getting the SAME GSI two semesters in a row? I mean, I don't hate him or anything, but he's not exactly my ideal teacher type...

Ok, really going now...really.

Sunday evening...
Though it's more accurately, early sunday evening...

Drinking my gingerbread latte very slowly, but I can't taste anything gingerbread-y in it. Happy chinese new years, again. Yesterday my brother and I went to my aunt's house to celebrate. So it was me and my bro, my aunt's family, and my cousin's grand-uncle and grand-aunts...who are kind of my granduncle/grandaunts...I guess. It was all very family-gathering-like.

We had a dinner with the hot-pot. Scallops, yum...sticky rice, lots of napa and other traditional hot-pot stuff. No pork or beef though... A bunch of the snacks that one gets at chinese new year...some crumbly candy thing, egg-rolls, mochi type things, pumpkin seeds...Yum.^_^ And at the end, we ate oranges and this weird cake thing that was kind of like a pie, except with whip cream(?) filling and slices of peaches, strawberries and kiwi on top. A fruitcake of sorts, I suppose...it was interesting.

And I managed to do all of my math homework (that's due this monday, at least...I still haven't done the stuff due friday), and played some Super Smash brothers with my brother and my cousin...

Then returned safely and was going to go to bed early, but went ot bed at 2am instead (not early...or is early, but only in the literal sense). Now I'm up and buying textbooks (well, mostly finished with it) and thinking about what I'm going to do for the homework due on Tuesday that I don't have a book for...Oh, well. It's my last semester, I really can't work up the energy to panic about it...

Got another request to use my art, this time for a fanlisting layout...intrigued by the thought, and the modifications were pretty spiffy (background and text, no other changes)...I'm wondering where all these people came from? Oh, well...at least that means there are people still looking, justification for me taking up the space on my little corner of the net to post artage...

Found my CD of mp3s...copy/pasted it into my computer, so I now have more music without having to download them all over again. I really should clean my room and do a bunch of errand thingies...I hope my dad doesn't get a heart-attack from the bill I put on the credit card for the textbooks...Around $100@_@. Ugh.

Textbooks are so expensive. Everything should be put online.@_@

Winter break was over so fast.o_0;

Happy Chinese New Year!
Well, with only about 40 minutes of it left...

School is going ok, art is going good, and finally I'm getting back into the groove of exercising.^_^; what I need is a good firm kick in the ass in the form of a PE class...this semester it's Taekwondo...very fun.^_^ And of course, handball. I beat my bro and my roommate last night...21-4 the first game (it was two on one) and 14-10 the second game...but then I had to go up for the team meeting so we didn't finish...

To celebrate the new year, we went out to eat (vietnamese noodles...it was the closest one we can walk to that we all wanted to eat.^_^; And noodles=long life!) and got ice cream afterwards. I did my math homework after, and it wasn't that bad (something that'll change soon, I'd imagine).

Tis the year of the monkey! Congrats to all those born that year...

Ugh...so tired. And a lot of classes..@_@ So I go sleep...

Uh-oh...
Back to school, back to life...and I think I left all my writing files at home.

Oops. Oh, well...that'll just make me write more (hopefully). Or hopefully, I have it, I just haven't found it yet...

I'm homeeeeeeeee
Though of course, school starts in a week or so...

Got a bunch of cleaning done yesterday, plus mailed out the things that uncle wanted. Need to call mom...did the court documents stuff, and most importantly, TABLET IS SUPPOSED TO COME IN TODAY!

Of course, it would help if my fingers weren't freezing...but I'm not complaining, the weather's so nice here...cold fingers are just something i'm chronically stuck with.

Proud of myself because I got up at ten instead of sleeping in like a pig. Baked cookies, then washed dishes and cleaned the counter. Starting a compost pile in the backyard even though it probably won't last long, since we're leaving relatively soon. Should go bug my friends, I think tonight is coffee night...and I managed to not touch Starbucks for so long too...*sigh*

The cookies turned out funny though...I think it's something wrong with our oven, tis perpetually underpowered, even when I make it bake at 200 degrees above the suggested temperature. Even then they turn out all half-baked...Oh, well.

Next on the list is vacuum and mop...and call friends to see if today IS the coffee night or if it got cancelled...then I have to start throwing stuff out, because our house is getting a little too full...

then again, all those plans will probably be pushed back to make time for tablet experimentation...

Last day here...

This vacation seems to be filled with might-have-beens.

We might've gone skiing. But first the weather did not cooperate, then it cooperated too much. We have snow but it's way too cold, and bro is sick.

We might've gone shopping. But because of the time difference that we couldn't shake, we overslept and can't go. Oh, well.

We might've done other things, but it was either too warm, too cold, too far, too boring, etc. So I spent most of the time sleeping, eating, and using the internet. Not unlike what I do at home.

Didn't draw, the time difference played weirdness on the inspiration to write. Got a lot of money, but wasted a lot of time. I hope my tablet is there by the time I get home, because I'm truthfully bored out of my head.

And besides our own junk, Uncle wants us to bring back ALL these dietary supplement things. So much that we have to get another suitcase. I have no comments, except maybe mild, disgusted amusement at the fact that they are so 'natural' and 'health' oriented, but keep eating all these artificial vitamins and extracts.

Nothing much. Still pretty disappointed overall. Can't wait to get home.

randomness...
Still in Canada...have a pretty bad headache, from lack of sleep? Alas, but I napped...

Today was fairly boring. Then again, the days have been mostly boring...The only thing is that I think I finally fixed the net, so that I won't have to spend half an hour every time I boot up the old laptop to get on the network...Apparently it was something wacky wiht my network bridge, or something.

Didn't really draw much...there's still a minor time difference that I'm trying to get used to. I get up too early (according to my body) and go to bed a bit too late. It's kinda of strange.

I guess family is family. My 5th aunt came to join us, along with her family. My 5th uncle (her husband) bought me one of those flash drives...the USB ones? It's really nice, now if I can figure out what to put on it...

Food is...mostly vegetarian. Low fat, low oil (mostly), low meat, low salt...Bro and I spent the time before we fell asleep last night lamenting the lack of MEAT. Oh, well. I'm eating a record number of fruits...

Got to read Black Cat vol. 8-14...or was it 16? I think it was 16. Not much in the way of inspiration, and sometimes the adults drive me batty. I'm not meant to mingle in crowds, even if they ARE family.

Learned how to play mah-jon from my family too...though they are always short one person, now I can expect to be a regular fill-in. I would avoid it but the table is down in the basement, same as my internet connection. @_@

And it's not going to snow, supposedly...and it's too warm to make artificial snow (from the ski resorts) because apparently the weather is so good that it'd melt anyway...So the prospect of skiing is low. Might go ice skating though.

Need to find an outlet for the PS2 that cousin borrowed from a friend...most of the games bro brought were for PS1, but I'm more used to the PS2 controller. No scanner, so even if I DID draw something worth scanning it'd have to wait till I get home. And boy, I can barely wait...

It is BIG here though, the house and the area...and very clean. Makes my living in Simi seem positively like a pig-sty in comparison...it's almost unnatural. But I suppose my aunt has time to clean, unlike us...two college students and one full-time working IT guy...

She gets a bit longwinded sometimes with her lectures. I try to avoid her, unless she's occupied with something.

Cousins are ok. But bro and I are going stir crazy.

Ok, I go now...I feel so tired, and it's only 12:15 (9:15 back in LA)...
