Majo's (ugly) Temp Page

The only reason this is up is because it has the link to the newly up Arcanum SR gallery. I WAS going to seperate the pictures into 'appropriate for public consumption' and 'slightly inappropriate' because SR as a decidedly shonen-ai/yaoi theme running throughout, but then I decided that since nothing was explicit and seperating out the pictures seem rather...I dunno, wrong. Someone once put that by putting warnings on, it felt like she was saying that shonen-ai/yaoi IS wrong and deserved to be seperated out and have big warning notes on them, which wasn't her belief...I guess I sorta agree with her.

Yare yare...that was rather more involved than I thought I needed to be...

Anyway. That's all. I'm sure it loads awfully slow for modem users...gotta bug Yayoi and see what happens with her when she tries to load it...

*sigh* back to econometrics and econ history of the 20th century...

BTW, in case you haven't noticed, back to the blue template. I always come back to this one, for some reason. It feels very...serene.^_^;

some announcements for the curious:

Ainself.net's provider went spazzy, I don't remember if they REALLY went out of business or is just saying they are...anyway, Ryo-san's looking for a new provider. Site pending. *sigh*

Cold turned out to be (?) a stomach flu, which meant I spent the past few days in bed and feeling sick and tired. Still feeling that way, but slightly better. Not much in the way of artwork because of that, being sick sucks. So does not being able to keep down food...

Got myself another angelfire site, this time working on galleries with actual thumbnails..*gasp*. Not much there yet...

Drew a picture (at http://www.angelfire.com/art2/majo/images/immortalsgroup.jpg in case Angelfire blocks it...) for Yayoi. Tis of the immortals (the two in the front are hers, the two in the back aren't, but she tortures them anyway^^; )

Also look up Arcanum Art for ...well, what it says.^^; A plain looking gallery, but it's up and sorta organized. Drop me a line if there are any broken links? Forgive the weird background, I got tired of looking for a good one and just randomly used one from angelfire...

And a rant to wrap up: Majo is very irritated that she can't seem to find good fansites on the character(s) she likes. More specifically, it deals with her seasonal obsession with the anime/manga Gensoumaden Saiyuki and Saiyuki Gaiden (kinda like a prequel). Majo finds it annoying that just because she isn't ga-ga over any of the four main characters, she is not able to find any GOOD shrines or art of the characters she DOES like. Majo vows that when she has time, she WILL do something about the PATHETIC lack of good Kougaiji and Goujun fanart on the net (or at least on english sites). End of rant.

Whether or not Majo can actually draw Saiyuki style is another matter entirely, of course.^^;

So bored, in fact, that I did two art things today...Yes, yes....I did terribly on the Japanese exams.@_@, but apparently drawing makes me feel better, so there.

To be honest, I'm not sure what happened...I mean, what made me draw this picture. Usually (especially lately), I'm very disinclined toward drawing...well, frilly things. Or lacy things. Or even pretty things in general, since I've been drawing guys mostly. Trying to draw guys that are NOT pretty. But i guess it's been too long since I drew girls...o_0; After the failed attempts, I've finally gone nuts and went to draw a super girly picture...ah, well. It looks somewhat like what CLAMP might draw...

Still sick, coughing a lot now, waiting for it to blow over. Restless and bored, wanting to get stuff over with, but head hurts too much to do anything productive. At least dinner wasn't at the cafeteria today, and I got a very big, very delicious frozen strawberry yogurt cone afterwards...

Now I think I'm going to play with HTML, if that tells you anything about how bored I feel.....

Why am I writing in this...?

You know how when you're sick, you're not supposed to want to do anything...? Well, it seems to be true for school-work, at the very least.-_- So much for plans of studying. I tried, I really did...But since cold medicine would cost me an arm and a leg (and I need those to GET to the test tomorrow), I've decided to pass go and do not collect any medicine.

Other depressing things:...ainself is still down. Well, wait, let me check...yup, still down. Darn it. And I was looking through my angelfire site. Can we say "Bllllllahhhhhhh looking"? I guess we can.-_- I have so much VOLUME but so little QUALITY, especially in presentation. It annoys me.

And of course looking at Gorgeous Art by Someone else is not exactly great for my ego either...-_-; I should really stop.

Ara......I didn't think it'd turn into a complaints post....^^; Well, in other news, the final for japanese is tomorrow and the day after...after that I have from 5/14-22 free, but of course that SHOULD be spent studying for the finals on 5/22 and 5/23. Sincerely hope that the cold will be ancient history by then, I sure do. Then it's move-out of the dorms and move-into the apartment, though the 'F' word looms dark and foreboding. As of now we don't know what we're going to do about furniture.-_-

As for Anime expo, I have plans to transfer some pencil sketchs onto manga paper and do them proper justice with color, as well as drawing some new stuff once I have time. People seem to like my Hellsing fanart and I admit the series is fun to draw for, and I adore Fruits Basket, I just need more reference pics to do the characters justice.^_^; The idea of doing commissions is STILL being kicked around, I'm planning to ask a few more friends about it and see what they think.^^; In any case, it's now an option, and I'm slightly excited by it...though of course, there's the possibility there would be no one wanting me to do commissions.....^^; Oh, well. I'll be dealing with that as it comes.

And now,....I think I've gotten enough things off my chest. My throat hurts tho^^; *cough cough*. Will now go back to semi-studying in hopes that I won't flunk Japanese....

Chugging along...

Japanese final (oral part) is this Friday, and then the test next week for Monday and Tuesday...Picnic for the Handball team this weekend, maybe go see movies? I still want to see Bulletproof Monk (despite the absolute cheese of the title and the preview...^_^;) and X2! And I'm not sure, is the Matrix sequel out too? I can never keep track.^^; Then after that is more studying for finals. My finals are once again, REALLY late this semester...@_@ I want a summer job! And I'm also thinking about doing commissions...I need the money, and it would be a great chance to practice...Yeah.^_^ I need to know how many ppl would be interested though...@_@ I don't even know how many people frequent my site(s) anymore^_^;;;;

Most likely WILL be going to Anime Expo this year (in Long Beach, CA)..I wanted to go to the one in New York SO badly!;_; But it is way too late, because school would've started by then!;_; I plan to be in the Art Show again, maybe table this time to sell prints.^^; Of course, this is assuming I get my act together and get things ready.

Current art projects are all original, but I'm thinking about transferring some of my better pencil sketchs onto manga paper to make spiffy colored versions!^_^ Oh, well...all that comes after finals, I suppose. Finals and move-in to the new apartment...yeah.^_^; Life is complicated, but not too bad.

And the Deviant art site is a success!^_^ I got lots of comments, so if anyone went there from here, thank you! I need to start posting new stuff soon though. I keep sticking all my new art into my misc folders online, and never linking them. Bad majo.....^^; Ah, well....
